We miss you man.

Most of my classes aren’t the same without you (mostly because you were the only one that knew the answers!)

You always managed to make everyone smile, mostly with lame jokes, but still, that counts for something right?

I know you feel pretty down about missing school but honestly it’s really not that interesting, just the same old boring classes to be honest.

Anyways, I hope you come back soon because our mother tongue class all miss you!!

Hope you feel better soon, and remember we are all here if you ever need to talk about anything.

Part 3

When he awoke, the night was releasing its suffocating grip on the land, revealing the harsh sun. To believe that it had only been one night was difficult, and he feared for how long he would be able to bear this suffering. He laid awake for what seemed like days on his cold, hard bed, and after that, he got up slowly, with a light head. When the room had ceased its violent and sickening spinning, jack noticed a small tray on the ground. He approached the silver platter, he noticed that it had a piece of bread and a bowl of soup sitting atop it. It was only now that jack realised how hungry he was. After he had finished devouring the food, a small note entered his attention. Folded over four times, it had an eerie perfection about it. He slowly picked it up, unfolding it with absolutely no haste, until it had been fully opened. It read “do not feel afraid, for you do not stand alone.”

After this, jack pondered who this person or people could be, and why they could want anything to do with him, but he could only ponder, for the next three days, absolutely nothing happened. The only events that passed through his petty life was the coming and going of food, uneaten by him for he was too wrapped up in this note so mysterious, which he expertly kept from the guards, until one night, when a dark figure entered the room. His dark face was completely unrecognizable to jack and the only words that this dark person spoke were “follow me to safety” Jack immediately rose from his bed, taking one last look as he exited. They walked swiftly in silence, with haste, they turned corner after corner, always avoiding the guards, until they reached the main gate, at which there were no guards, and jack wondered what could have possibly happened to them as they moved through the gates that hung open…

The Wolf of Wall Street – Movie Review

(Google, 2014)

This movie is fantastic and true it is based on the book which is based on a real character named Jordan Belfort who served 22 months of a 4 year sentence, He was convicted of fraud crimes related to stock market manipulation and running a penny stock boiler room. He had also had to pay 110$ million in restitution this was because of what he had done. The movie portrays his life on Wall Street and most things that had been written in the book although not everything in the film is real and actually happened.

In the movie Jordan Belfort is portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio who had nominated for 2 Oscars this year. One for Best Performance by an Actor in a leading role, and also a Best Motion Picture of Year. But of Course he didn’t win. This movie is grip taking and you won’t believe some of the stuff Jordan had done.

The Wolf of Wall Street centers on Jordan Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio), an ambitious young stockbroker who figured out a back door into the world of finance. Belfort’s back door was ‘penny stocks’, seemingly worthless options that he sold to susceptible buyers. The stock’s value and viability didn’t bother Belfort, as his commission on sales was a whopping 50%. With Belfort’s meteoric rise came an almost insatiable desire for the finer things in life, and he used every possible opportunity to display it. The only thing more dangerous than Jordan’s addiction to spending other people’s money was his inhuman ingestion of drugs (Especially ludes, which seem like really bad news). The Wolf (Jordan’s Nick name) has zero interest in covering the emotional and financial fallout of Belfort and cronies, instead the film unflinchingly zeroes in on every aspect of Belfort’s sordid lifestyle, leaving you breathless and exhausted  (or if you are a bore, exasperated) by its end. By the time the credits roll, you’ll feel like going to rehab.

I think the reason the perfume commercials are so weird, is because they have to advertise a smell without using smells.

RBS Six Nations

The Northern hemisphere’s biggest rugby competition, with Wales vs. Italy, England vs. France and Ireland vs. Scotland.

(Google, 2014)

The six nations kicked off with its first match Wales vs. Italy. The first try was scored by Welshman Tipuric, due to a mistake from Leonardo Sarto. Shortly after Wales and Italy both score penalties making the score 10-3 to wales. After a quick line out from the Welsh the ball was flicked out to the welsh backs finally ending in a try being scored by Scott Williams. Successful conversion from halfpenny made the score 17-3 to wales. A long field kick from Italian number 13 Michele Campagnaro resulted in the Italians scoring a try.  Failed conversion from the Italians only made the score at this point 20-8 to the Welsh. The final score was23-15 to wales. The Italians put up a powerful fight against the number 1 team in the southern hemisphere. Wales were not expecting the Italian side to be this dominant in a match that normally would have ended with Wales demolishing Italy as they did last year.
