RBS Six Nations

The Northern hemisphere’s biggest rugby competition, with Wales vs. Italy, England vs. France and Ireland vs. Scotland.

(Google, 2014)

The six nations kicked off with its first match Wales vs. Italy. The first try was scored by Welshman Tipuric, due to a mistake from Leonardo Sarto. Shortly after Wales and Italy both score penalties making the score 10-3 to wales. After a quick line out from the Welsh the ball was flicked out to the welsh backs finally ending in a try being scored by Scott Williams. Successful conversion from halfpenny made the score 17-3 to wales. A long field kick from Italian number 13 Michele Campagnaro resulted in the Italians scoring a try.  Failed conversion from the Italians only made the score at this point 20-8 to the Welsh. The final score was23-15 to wales. The Italians put up a powerful fight against the number 1 team in the southern hemisphere. Wales were not expecting the Italian side to be this dominant in a match that normally would have ended with Wales demolishing Italy as they did last year.
